Farveblind is a Copenhagen-based trio consisting of Jens Asger Lykkeboe Mouritzen, Magnus Pilgaard Grønnebæk, and Anders Norre Arendt. Originally driven by a desire to “make stuff happen” and break the barrier between stage and audience, they built a reputation as an explosive live act, performing at festivals like Roskilde, Eurosonic, and Reeperbahn.
Starting as a spontaneous, party-focused electronic project blending techno, breakbeat, industrial, and post-punk, the band evolved significantly during the 2020 pandemic. Isolated in the studio, they shifted from creating high-energy drops for live shows to crafting fully realized songs. Their early EPs Mayhem (2021) and All Clubs Are Bastards (2022) paved the way for their debut album.
Their first full-length album, Micro Pleasures (out May 15, 2026), explores small moments of joy within the oppressive routines of modern life. The record frames these “micro pleasures” as coping mechanisms and subtle acts of resistance in a chaotic, late-capitalist world. Deeply collaborative in spirit, the album features a wide range of international artists and was mixed by Gustav Brunn.
Musically, the album moves across techno-house, electro-punk, big beat, dance-punk, and atmospheric electronic pop. Lyrically and thematically, it addresses consumerism, office culture, environmental anxiety, and social repetition, while embracing experimentation and creative freedom. The band intentionally let go of over-controlling their process, allowing tracks to evolve naturally.
Rather than ending explosively, the album closes on a calm, expansive note with “All of the Atoms,” reflecting the group’s maturity and willingness to defy expectations. Overall, Micro Pleasures captures both political awareness and pleasure-seeking energy, presenting collaboration, communal spirit, and fleeting joy as forms of resistance in turbulent times.
